It’s the first day of Fall! Despite the date indicating a shift in seasons, the weather chose not to comply. I decided to style a turtle sweater anyway…in black nonetheless!
I absolutely love black! In fact, It’s been featured in every single one of my looks thus far (Oops!). From a day to day basis, I’m usually seen in an all black ensemble. I’m trying to challenge myself and break out of my comfort zone for the blog, but there’s nothing like an all black outfit.
All black is sleek, mysterious, sexy, and chic. Some may argue that wearing black isn’t stylish but pulling off all black comes with intention. If it is not styled correctly the ensemble can come across as flat. I often like to add statement accessories and/or shoes to add interest to the look.
This is where the multi-colored shoes come in. These shoes are a statement item yet surprisingly versatile. I can match these shoes with white, black, pink, berry, electric blue, and neon yellow…The styling possibilities are endless! These shoes effortlessly add pizzaz and spunk to any pairing I create.
To further emphasize the electricity of this shoe, I styled them with a black, comfy chic ensemble. I’ve been loving the sweater with shorts look for the Fall! The turtle neck is great for chilly mornings and the skort works well for warm afternoons. For a finishing touch, I paired this laid-back look with my mini backpack.
Has the oddly warm weather created this new trend? Who knows! But, I’m glad it’s here! I personally love the look and love how it can span from casual styling to glamorous styling. If you’re craving sweater weather, but feeling the heat try pairing a sweater with shorts for a bold look!
