Holiday Looks

The holidays have left as soon as they came. It’s almost the new year! I’m grateful that I was able to see family and friends this year in good spirits. Of course, hanging out with them wouldn’t be complete without me pulling out a few looks or two. Below I’ve featured three looks I wore this holiday season to appeal to different moods and different styles.

THE ROMPER.

I love a good romper! It complements my short torso and curvy frame perfectly. In this previous post, I shared how the romper shouldn’t be limited to the Summer. It is a style that can adjust to *most seasons and is perfect for the bold and daring. For this Winter, pair a romper with boots and/or a leather jacket for added warmth.

I wore this velvet romper to celebrate this season’s must-have material. I then paired it with over the knee boots to cover most of my legs in an attempt to ignore the chilly weather. Who should wear this look: Petite, trendy, non-traditional

THE WRAP DRESS.

The light mint color of this dress caught my eye. By now, I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’m not huge into color. I wanted to challenge myself and give mint a try. The classic wrap dress flatters most body types as it accentuates the waist and adds balance to the body. I knew the silhouette would be a winner and I loved the added choker detail.

Because this dress has such a light air to it, I wanted to keep the styling just as fresh. I opted for white accessories and a slicked back hairstyle to allow the simplicity to shine. Who should wear this look: Classic, conservative, curvy

THE JACKET.

This embellished jacket is one of my favorite pieces to join my closet this year. The white beaded detail and sheer hem made this such an alluring statement piece. I found this jacket to be perfect for those who don’t like the typical glitter and glitz of holiday wear. The embellishment added the perfect amount of festivity without overdoing it.

Simply adding a jacket to your holiday wardrobe is also resourceful because it can be styled in various ways. I liked the idea of pairing it with a mock neck shift for a flirty look. Who should wear this look: Practical, glamorous, seasoned fashionista

This post isn’t exactly timely, but I hope it’s given you ideas for the remaining week of the holiday season. There are many ways to turn up your style a notch without following the crowd or becoming overwhelmed. Happy New Year!
